In this class, Dieniz Costa and Quest Hunter explore what wellness outside of the medical healthcare system looks like. They dive deep into the liberating and empowering decolonization of wellness for POC (People of Color) that speaks to their lived experiences. Centering queer identity, they seek to dismantle the oppressive nature of the western medical system and to provide a more holistic approach and ancestral remedies for the queer identity. There will also be an open discussion on how touch is part of wellness and specifically the role of touch in building queer community.
